How long does Buckingham to Gatwick Airport take?
Around two hours is realistic when the roads are moving reasonably, but we allow more time when planning a Gatwick departure.
The quickest route can change during the day. Two sensible options from Buckingham can sometimes be only a few minutes apart, while disruption further south can make one considerably slower by the time the car reaches the M25.
For an early flight, the motorway network may be quieter. During weekday peaks or busy afternoon periods, the same journey needs more margin because conditions can change after leaving Buckingham.
